What's the position?Genova is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead a software engineering team and interface with external customers.
This position will be located in Cedar Rapids, IA.
The responsibilities for this role include:
oMaintaining good relationships with internal and external stakeholdersoImplementing best practice engineering methods and ensuring these practices are being usedoProviding technical guidance to engineering teams and top managementoSupporting established organizational objectives by developing goals and strategiesoDeveloping and presenting budgets and plansoMaintaining staffing levels to promote optimal financial performanceoManaging employees including on-boarding, off-boarding, training, skill assessments, etc.
oSupport Recruiting by developing job and project descriptions oCompleting administrative tasks on schedule including performance reviews, salary planning, etc.
What are we looking for?We're currently seeking partners that want to build their skills and work alongside a team of like-minded individuals.
The ideal candidate will have:
o5
years of experience in managementoBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer ScienceoUp-to-date knowledge of software development processes and technologiesoAbility to support Business Development at customer sites for technical discussions.
Additional skills we consider a plus include:
oExperience creating and executing strategic visions across an organizationoExperience implementing change and introducing these processes to all levels of an organizationoExperience using metrics and data to develop and deploy processes to enhance an organization's growthoExperience building and maintaining trust and credibility with key stakeholders within and outside of an organization.
