Central State Bank has an immediate opening for a Compliance and BSA Officer at our Cedar Rapids location.Our Compliance and BSA Officer is responsible for ensuring compliance with federal and state banking regulations. The Compliance and BSA Officer assists the COO/CRO with the administration and oversight of an effective Compliance Program that is in line with regulatory requirements, guidance, expectations, and industry best practices. What We Offer o Competitive pay structure and benefit package. o Eleven paid holidays in addition to PTO. o A team atmosphere committed to growth and innovation.What You'll Be Doing o Identify areas of necessary improvements and assist with the formulation of methods and internal controls to strengthen the Bank's compliance posture, while supporting internal staff and customer service goals. o Stay abreast of and analyze developing industry and compliance trends, as well as changes to laws and regulations. Advise the COO/CRO and the Internal Controls & Compliance Committee of emerging risks, new and amended laws, regulations, or agency guidance. o Perform compliance reviews of transactions, documentation, procedures, and policies, and monitor daily operating activities as needed. o Participate in the risk assessment process throughout the Bank. o Develop and maintain all aspects of the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) Compliance Program. o Assist in the administration of independent audits and state and federal examinations. o Provide staff training and guidance on compliance and BSA topics.PIe8f2e2049ca0-25448-34233926 Recommended Skills Administration Auditing Bank Secrecy Act Customer Service Internal Controls Regulatory Requirements Apply to this job. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
