McGrath Automotive Group is searching for an individual who will assist in writing automotive related website content and blog articles for use in our online network. We need original, optimized copy focused on the vehicle line available through the McGrath Automotive dealerships, as well as news and information pertinent to our customer base.
This is a full time position and is in-office, which is located in Hiawatha, Iowa. The selected individual will be able to work independently, be self-motivated and have the discipline to research information and cultivate resources in order to create a large volume of content. This person will be joining a small team within our company that shares the same overall goal.
Responsibilities:
- Understand Search Engine Optimization (metatags, page titles, search phrases & keywords, link building, etc.)
- Research and develop automotive related content
- Adhere to website quality guidelines
- Stay up-to-date with automotive industry news
Requirements:
- Strong and adaptable writing skills. You should have the ability to write professionally and creatively, while engaging visitors in a down-to-earth, conversational way
- Proficiency in editing and correcting grammatical, typographical or compositional errors
- Familiar with basic search engine optimization philosophies and practices
- Proficient in Microsoft Word
- General Photoshop skills (photo cropping & editing)
- General HTML skills
- Experience working in the Wordpress environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word
- Must have strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Demonstrate ability to work independently and manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously with a sense of urgency
- Ability to quickly adjust priorities to respond to pressing demands
- Previous experience developing web content
