My client is seeking a Data Warehousing Business Intelligence Analyst to join their team in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. This is a permanent position with salary rate ranging from $70K $85K. Client is interested in candidates within local area, but they will consider candidates willing to relocate. They will offer assistance to relocate.
Overview
Client is embarking on a new data warehousing initiative and we need someone to help us build this new solution. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing and creating the business model, leveraging methods and tools to analyze and assess business performance, and reporting of data exceptions and discrepancies.
Responsibility
Evaluate data and ensure integrity and completeness of data and workflow using SQL
Assist in developing and designing departmental databases leveraging dimensional modeling principles
Facilitate all aspects of testing from strategy, scripting and execution
Manage tools to monitor and analyze the quality of the Data Warehouse environment
Design and develop standard dashboards/reports that provide overarching view across the company, using data gathered from multiple sources
Evaluate departmental data and generate reports, graphs, forecasts, and trend analysis to assist in planning endeavors
Assist in providing critical information to support regular evaluation: including data collection, data retrieval, data analysis, and preparation of reports
Respond to requests for relevant planning or service data as needed for internal customers
Qualification
BA/BS degree in related field

years experience in IT in a corporate environment.
3
years of requirements coordination/generation.
3
years SQL, data analysis/profiling.
3
years experience implementing a BI/DW Infrastructure on a large scale: ETL, Data Warehouse, Data Marts, and Analytics.
Understands concepts such as Extract Transform Load (ETL) and source to target mappings
Understands facts, dimensions, and associative entities
Familiar with Data modeling and understanding of modeling methodologies (ex. 3rd normal form - Bill Inmon, dimensional modeling Ralph Kimball, ODS)
Hands-on experience with report writing tools such as SSRS
