MSI MOLD BUILDERS, a leader in the manufacture of medium-to-large injection and structural foam molds with locations in Cedar Rapids, Iowa and Greenville, South Carolina, is seeking a Purchasing Agent. This position will work out of the Cedar Rapids office but have purchasing responsibility for both locations.
The essential job responsibilities include developing and maintaining a vendor base; supporting sales in the quoting process; purchasing of materials; and, supporting plant management in implementing new policies, procedures, and equipment.
A qualified candidate must have an Associate's degree in Business or a related degree in a manufacturing field, combined with a minimum of five years buying/purchasing experience (preferably in a job shop environment); a Bachelor's degree is preferred. Experience in price and delivery negotiations, and purchasing of metals is a must.
Experience working with a business with multiple facilities is preferred.
