Principal Marketing Manager - Airborne Solutions Marketing and Strategy Development
Strategic Marketing, Airborne Solutions
Primary responsibilities include Market Research and Analysis to develop market based business plans including strategic analysis of market needs, identification of new product concepts, pricing strategies and go to market communications.
The ideal candidate must be able to lead a geographically diverse and cross functional team in the synthesis of the global political and business environment to identify new market opportunities and potential impacts to the business strategy. This position requires strong analytical, collaboration, networking and verbal communication skills. A successful candidate will be able to work effectively at the operational level both internally and externally, and equally comfortable presenting market analysis and defending strategic recommendations to senior executives.
Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
o Lead the development of business strategies through collaboration with the Global Marketing, Sales, Program Management, Product Line and Engineering teams
o Accountable for performing market research and analysis based off of primary research and direct customer interaction to;
o predict future market trends
o lead the creation of market based business plans
o identify market product preferences, including market based requirements, pricing and adoption rate
o lead the creation of strategic competitive assessments
o Lead the development and execution of the Marketing Communication Plan, including the creation of marketing collateral and advertising; and trade show planning
o Budgetary responsibilities for future year marketing planning and current year forecasting
Prior Market Research and Analysis experience is desired. Prior knowledge of aircraft electronics is desired, but not required.
The applicant must be capable of obtaining a US Department of Defense (DoD) Security Clearance. U.S. Citizenship is required
Position is located in the Cedar Rapids, IA facility.
Bachelor's degree in appropriate discipline or in the absence of a degree six years of related experience; and:
Must be a US Citizen
Must have the ability to obtain a US Department of Defense (DoD) Security Clearance
Must have a minimum of 5 years of strategic planning, product marketing, and/or market research and analysis experience is required, preferably in a technology-oriented industry or top tier management consulting firm
An undergraduate degree in an engineering or technical field is desired, a graduate degree (preferably MBA) is required.
Prior knowledge of aircraft electronics is desired
