Job Description

In this impactful role, you will be leading filter development supporting front end module product development in the highly competitive cellular handset market. These modules will include LNAs, PAs, RF switches, SAW/BAW filters, and analog bias controllers. Candidates will provide technical leadership in all phases of SAW/BAW development, including product definition, architecture, system, MCM design, lab debug and production support. This role will be responsible for cross site communication with other filter leads, capturing lessons learned, improvements to development flow, and inputs into software tool and hardware needs. #LI-DB1


Responsibilities:

  • Technical lead and interface for all CRDC acoustic filter development, drives new filter technology developments (process roadmap, filter partitioning, new package size, higher pinout count, trimming etc), assigns priorities between designs.
  • Regularly check progress, data, performance to stay on track and provide feedback/ gap analysis -- for instance, making sure that filter improvements are actually achieved at the module level and drive investigations across teams to find out root causes of issues
  • Module product line system specification, including filter stand-alone specification
  • Responsible for understanding the wireless subsystem and driving roadmaps and KPI
  • Making the key decisions on architecture and filter technology for all modules.
  • Delivering the right architecture to the team while always taking a detailed and fresh look at the new generation of the design to make sure any possible improvement (design, process, IP) can be leveraged and included in the new design

Requirements:

BS and 8 years of related experience or MS and 6 or PhD and 3 years

(1) Microsoft Office - Powerpoint, Excel, Word
(2) Experience with design simulation tool or equivalent - Agilent ADS, HFSS, APD, Capture, Cadence

(3) Product Realization Process (PRP) - General understanding of how to take a project from concept to production.
(4) Knowledge of Design Architecture - Experience and familiarity with wireless transceiver architectures, system requirements, standards, receiver and transmitter chain sub-blocks
(5) Knowledge of test parameters and test equipment - Experience and familiarity with testing, evaluation and debugging RF, analog and mixed-signal module designs in a lab environment.

(6) Experience with filter design & layout, evaluation boards, bench testing, and debugging.
(7) Good communication skills and teamwork is a must to be able to work in a fast-paced product development environment.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
